We just came back from spending a few weeks in the Cloud Forest of Monteverde as volunteer field research assistants to collect data about the fauna and flora of a private conservation reserve. This forest piece is located somewhere along the Cordillera de TilarΓ‘n within the Puntarenas and Alajuela provincesβ¦
During those weeks we ended up having seen so much! Although we did not see a single jaguar still we managed to (data-)trap the biggest cat ever caught on this private reserve: a Puma! And a beautiful male it isβ¦ This led us to rename our group βthe Puma Squadβ! γ
While we are working at getting the feedback of the volunteers and the leaders of this mission (and that we will publish momentarily), here are few pics of the mission.
